Choosing a CPA. There is a difference!
(Please see “choosing a CPA” on our videos tab. It covers much of what is below.)
EXAMPLE:
We contact our clients BEFORE yearend to discuss important issues. We don't leave it up to our clients to contact us.
When was the last time your CPA contacted you to discuss.........

Does your CPA try to be all things to all people? We don't make promises we can't keep.
Instead we focus on the "essentials" that every business needs. Essentials such as…………..

Your current CPA may also have a focus on the essentials, but the DIFFERENCE is in HOW we perform our services before delivering them to our clients.

We contact our clients BEFORE yearend to discuss important issues. We don't leave it up to our clients to contact us.
When was the last time your CPA contacted you to discuss.........
- Maintaining a general ledger
How to produce and read financial statements from the general ledger for your business
Making sure your general ledger agrees to your tax return - Importance of having an "accountable" employee expense reimbursement plan
- What you need to secure your auto deduction
- Employee vs. independent contractor
- Reasonable salary for S-corporation shareholders
EXAMPLE:
Does your CPA try to be all things to all people? We don't make promises we can't keep.
Instead we focus on the "essentials" that every business needs. Essentials such as…………..
- Tax preparation - business, individual, estate, trust
- Accounting/general ledger/QuickBooks
- Tax estimates
- Tax planning
- Full-service or assisted payroll
- Property tax returns
EXAMPLE:
Your current CPA may also have a focus on the essentials, but the DIFFERENCE is in HOW we perform our services before delivering them to our clients.
- We discuss with each client what their needs are and update it as conditions change
- We enter each client's needs in our task tracker
- We let each client know what is due, when it’s due, what we need from them, when we need it
- All major work is controlled by internally generated checklists
The checklists represent YEARS of accumulated knowledge
The checklists are continually being updated based on tax law changes, experiences, and continuing education - Our staff works as a team from preparation through review (does your CPA even have a review process?)
